A Prayer for Strength: Infuse Me

There are days when I have more feelings than I do strength, nights that seem to drag on as the thoughts cluttering my mind twist and tangle. The unknowns and worries weaken me, as do the missteps I make. Feeling frozen in a state of tiredness, momentum can seem so far away and impossible to find, regardless of coffee, vitamins, fresh air, and healthy food. From the inside looking out, feeling empty and unable to meet the demands of today and tomorrow, I hold onto the truth that this moment will, in fact, pass - they all do…

Prayer is my first step out from under the cloud of heaviness and into the light, in order to receive the infusion of strength and energy I need to cope with the regrets of yesterday, the demands of today, and the preparations for tomorrow.

A Prayer for Strength

Dear Lord,

I stand before You in this moment

knowing that You have created me and love me just as I am

I feel tired, worn and depleted 

My mind and body feel weak

I have endured so much and know that more is to come but am struggling to regain momentum

So here I am

Seeking your face, in surrender

I believe that You are the ultimate source, so I know that what I lack, You will provide 

With each inhale, 

please fill me with Your power

And with each exhale, 

I choose to release any thoughts, feelings, memories, desires, habits, beliefs, or visualizations that are preventing me from making progress

Lord, I ask that You remove any and every roadblock, 

within and without, 

that I have allowed to hold to me back 

I ask in faith to be infused with Your supernatural strength. 

Give me the energy to: 

run like a cheetah and roar like a lion, 

move like the wind and flow steady as a stream, 

bloom like a flower and shine like the sun 

I am here, so You must have a need for me to be here

It’s my hearts desire to respond to your call and purpose for my life 

and I believe that through You I have all I need to do what must be done today

You are with me wherever I go,

You are the strength of my life,

You make my way perfect, and 

uphold me with your righteous hand

I shift my focus toward that which You have asked me to steward: 

the garden of my life, 

the temple of my body, 

and the gift of time that depletes with each passing moment

I may not have all of the answers, but I respond to Your request to be strong and courageous 

I place my faith in You as I mount up with wings like eagles, 

run and not get weary, 

walk and not faint.

I believe that today I will do all things through Christ who strengthens me, 

In Jesus name I pray,
